Who Represents You?

I am still reading Clockwork Angel, in the book so far there are five characters. Tessa is the main character so far, she has a power to be able to change into certain people if she is given a certain artifact to represent them. I think she should be represented by an octopus because octopi have the ability to change color and texture when they feel threatened, similarly Tessa is changing her personality into different people to find out what happened to them in the past, she is doing this because she is being bullied and blackmailed by the Dark Sisters. "Tessa blinked dizzily. The first moment after a Change was always like blinking water out of your eyes after submerging yourself in a bath. She looked down at herself. Her new body was slight, almost frail, and the fabric of  her dress hung loose, pooling on the floor at her feet." (pg 22)




The Dark Sisters, known as Mrs. Black and Mrs. Dark, are the bullies to Tessa, they make her do these changes. They live in a cell- like room, it's hot and damp and very uncomfortable for Tessa. They want to find information from the people who they make Tessa turn into, they will interogate Tessa/ the person to find out information about them. They are double sided because they seemed all nice and caring but they will use force and beat Tessa into Changing. "They had shouted at her to Change, had slapped her and shaken her..." (pg 20) They remind me of Ursula in The Little Mermaid becuase she was compasionate toward Ariel and was going to help her out, but she actually juist wanted King Titon's powers.
